Angie has been attending births in the Pittsburgh area since 2011. Through her years of having and raising her 4 children, she experienced 7 miscarriages and secondary infertility, those experiences led her to a deeper understanding of autoimmune disease and the importance of healing the body on a deeper level. After several years working toward healing her microbiome, she delivered her 4th child at home. She is a birth, bereavement, lactation, postpartum and childbirth education specialist.

I am an incurable goofball with a passion for teaching and sharing culturally relevant childbirth education. I chose birth work because of my love for empowering and supporting Expectant Parents and their families. My own Birth Experience opened my eyes to the many things that need to change in order for Black Mamas and their babies to have safer birth outcomes. ❤️

Carra here! Wife and mother of 3 beautiful children. A cat and a dog. I wear many hats as I am a birth and postpartum doula looking into end of life doula studies. I am a RBT working with autistic children, a nanny, and a published author. I balance it well never bitting off more than I can chew. I'm constantly working on self love by journaling, walking and concentrating on overall health. I hope to own my own business someday or businesses. I love the babies, and the overall birth process

She believes that the emotional components of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum play a big role in overall health and satisfaction and are not to be ignored.

Selena is a traditional midwife supporting low risk families who are seeking a home birth. Their passion is educating clients and their families so that they feel empowered and confident making the decisions about birth. Selena even teaches partners to “catch” the baby because they believe babies should be born into the world to meet the family that will love them not a provider.
