Gloria Coulverson

Director of Policy & Community Engagement

With a strong background in reproductive health and advocacy, Gloria designs inclusive policies and forges strategic community partnerships that advance equitable perinatal care across Pennsylvania and beyond.

Her "Keep Her Breathing" campaign was launched this year in honor of Adriana Smith and the countless women whose bodies were treated as experiments instead of being protected and how we are mitigating these issues through MOM.

She also recently joined fellow maternal health leaders on a public panel hosted by Emerald City Pittsburgh to spotlight Masters of Maternity's solutions to maternal health disparities, reflecting her role as a trusted voice in the field. Gloria also activates activism, amplifies advocacy, and drives measurable progress by centering the voices and experiences of  brown birthing people. Her work ensures every parent receives compassionate, culturally-informed support and reinforces the organization’s mission to reimagine maternal care through equity, empathy, and impact.

“Birth is not only about making babies. Birth is about making mothers ~ strong, competent, capable mothers who trust themselves and know their inner strength."
